My journey in the wine world began in 2014, when I worked as a wine guide at Taylor’s Port in Porto. It didn’t take long for me to feel completely at home, and yet excited by it all. I was captivated by the stories, the craftsmanship, and the incredible depth of so many Portuguese wines I was lucky enough to try. I loved sharing that magic with visitors and found real joy in helping people connect with the stories behind was in their glass.
From there, I moved behind the scenes to join the head office of Montes Wines in Santiago de Chile. That was when I realised that wine wasn’t just a passing interest, but rather, something worth pursuing. I learned a great deal about development plans and marketing strategies, and regularly had those ‘pinch me’ moments when on business at vineyards in Colchagua and across the border in Mendoza.
Back in London, I worked in sales and buying for a premium French wine merchant. It was an exciting role that developed quickly and took me to beautiful wine regions, challenged me to organise tastings, and gave me the chance to talk wine with people every day. I also completed my WSET Level 3 qualification during this time, deepening my technical knowledge, refining my palate and fuelling my desire to keep learning. Fast-forward eight years, and I’m still learning! I am currently studying for the Diploma in Wine at the WSET School in London and loving the challenge, the tastings and the depth of study involved.
Today, I bring wine to life through tastings in all kinds of settings, from relaxed evenings with friends to corporate events and public sessions in wine bars. My tastings are fun, inclusive, and never pretentious. There’s no test, no wrong answer – just a chance to explore, learn, and enjoy wine in good company.
One thing I really love about what I do now is that no two events are the same. I take time to understand what matters to you, so whether it’s a private celebration or a larger gathering, I’ll work with you to create something relaxed, engaging, and genuinely memorable.
